Fruit smoothie diet Weight Loss
“I have started drinking green smoothies and so far,I am really enjoying them! I am close to 300 lbs and my goal is to lose 150 lbs. Alexandra,I want to start by congratulating you on your resolve to lose weight. You’ve chosen wisely with green smoothies!
Before I get into my recommendations,I also want to remind you that I am not a doctor,so please do your own research and check with a qualified health care professional before making any dramatic dietary change,especially when it comes to massive weight loss.
Just about every green smoothie on IncredibleSmoothies.com will facilitate weight loss. As you know,weight loss is also more than just what you eat (or don’t eat). The rest of your diet and exercise also play an important role.
I have compiled a listing of weight loss smoothie recipes. These recipes contain fruits and vegetables that research suggests helps the body maintain it’s ideal weight and burn fat. The important thing to remember when making weight loss smoothies is to keep them simple. Only use tea or water as a liquid. If you want to use fruit juice,make sure to use fresh squeezed juices only.Avoid using a lot of fats such as nuts,avocados and coconuts and keep them free of dairy and artificial sweeteners.
To make smoothies creamier,use banana,apples and mangoes and to sweeten them or use a natural sweetener like dates.
To answer your other question,I do not recommend going on a green smoothie-only diet. I feel that it is unnecessary and can lead to nutritional imbalances. You can read more about my stance on . I recommend having a green smoothie for breakfast and lunch with healthy fruit and/or veggie snacks with a healthy dinner.

If you stick around and share some of your experiences, you might pick up some tips and advice that will help you in your weight loss journey.
I think a healthy, balanced diet and exercise is a much better way to go...which could include making your own quick smoothie in the a.m. from yogurt, fruit, etc.
A lot of people on this forum are struggling to fit a healthy lifestyle into an incredibly busy schedule, so stick around and I'm sure you'll find many folks who share similar circumstances.
One of the things you might find disappointing is that when you rely on highly processed, sugary drinks like SF as the mainstays of a "diet" plan, then when you return to "normal" eating you will gain all the weight back AND MORE, so it's really not sustainable

Hi all, I am a long time lurker.
I am a breastfeeding mom and I have a pretty healthy, clean diet and am constantly hungry (probably due to the breastfeeding). One thing I don't do, though, is eat fruit. So I started making green smoothies daily in my Vitamix. I never add any sweetener, I just use greens, fruit, water or almond milk and both hemp seed and chia seeds. People were raving about how these smoothies kept them full for hours and they noticed weight loss.
Well, I have noticed the opposite. After drinking a 20oz smoothie, I am hungry about an hour later and if I wait, I am starving

Having a fruit and plain yogurt smoothie early every morning. By adding 250 super low fat, high fiber and high carbohydrate calories to my day I really increased my metabolism, energy level and mood!
Prior to that I lost 10 lbs in one week by only making one change, I quit carbonation. 10lbs in 7 days! Of course I gain it back just as fast if I drink so much as an occasional soda.
Mild diet tweaks can and do work, unrealistic expectations really don't.
