Low carb diet fruits
A very common myth about low-carb diets is that we don't eat vegetables or fruits. Of course, we know that nothing could be further from the truth, particularly when it comes to the veggies. Did you know that when people start on a low-carb diet, they usually double, or even triple, the amount of vegetables they eat? This is because vegetables often replace starchy foods. But which choices are the best? These lists of vegetables and fruits are roughly listed from the lowest to the highest in carbs. Most are linked to carb profiles including carb and fiber counts, calories, and recipes. I'm in the process of adding more of these links - I've added four in the last few days, and am still working on it.

Cutting out a bagel and a few other carbs, but keeping the fruits and (probably starchy) veggies won't do it. Most people CAN lose some weight just shaving a few carbs off their diet, but to really get the huge benefits you need to get into ketosis. Skimming Dr. Atkins' book and then eliminating a few sweets and such doesn't qualify you to advise on Atkins. Maybe you should talk to me or one of the other MILLIONS of people who followed it closely and correctly, and therefore SUCCESSFULLY, before you go giving people advice that might keep them from trying the diet that could save their life like it did mine

i've managed to gain 10 lbs since november and i've decided to do something about it (this is not a new years resolution).
i've decided the low-carb thing is the way to go. ALTHOUGH I am going to eat all fruits and veggies no matter the carbs.
so my diet plan is this:
breakfast, 2 boiled eggs, fruit and coffee
lunch, salad with tofu, meat or nuts
dinner, veggies and meat
drinks, vodka soda, rum and diet coke, or a dry white wine
SO FAR i've managed to keep it up. i bought some sugar free chocolate, which satisfies my sweet tooth, even though I know it's high fat
