Hollywood Fruit Diet

Some celebrity-obsessed dieters are intrigued by the Hollywood fruit diet, a plan that promises speedy weight loss and whole-body cleansing. Despite frequent warnings about such plans, millions of people fall prey to fad diets, according to the American Dietetic Association. Because sustainable weight loss is a slow and steady pursuit, dieters who make lifestyle changes are better off than those who use the Hollywood fruit diet.
Numerous variations of the Hollywood fruit diet span the Internet, all of which focus on eliminating food and sipping meals for a given time period. The idea is to cleanse the body of toxins that inhibit weight loss and consume instead a commercial tonic that supposedly promotes energy and rapid weight loss. The Hollywood diet beverages are a blend of fruits that contain essential antioxidants, or health-enhancing substances. Some Hollywood fruit diets are designed to work in just 48 hours, while others last as long as one week.
The Hollywood fruit diet is a restrictive plan that encourages users to eliminate basic food groups for quick results. Diet experts would call the plan a fad diet, one that is neither healthy nor sustainable. Although some people who follow the diet to the letter are able to lose some weight, this is generally a result of water loss and not fat loss. What’s worse, some dieters end up losing muscle when their calorie-deprived bodies use it as fuel.
Hollywood fruit dieters face risks of nutritional deficiencies. Even those who take a multivitamin may miss critical nutrients. Additionally, following too rigid a plan can promote binge eating, which can create an unhealthy cycle of deprivation and overeating. Those who consistently fail to meet their goals might experience emotional consequences as well, blaming themselves for diet failures and not recognizing that plans like the Hollywood fruit diet are the real culprit.
In an article for the Women to Women website, Marcelle Pick, OB/GYN NP, urges dieters to remember that fad diets are fads for a reason. Lasting results come when you use the old-fashioned recipe for weight loss: a balanced diet and exercise. Aim to lose around 1 pound weekly by reducing calories and fat intake. By losing weight slowly, you allow your body to adjust without having to steal water, bone or muscle for energy. When you make a habit of moving for at least 30 minutes most days of the week, you promote greater weight loss and physical fitness as well. Purchase a pedometer to track your progress; FamilyDoctor.org recommends working up to around 10, 000 steps daily. If these changes do not help, talk to a doctor about potential roadblocks to your success. In some cases, a hormonal imbalance or other underlying medical condition is to blame.

In reply to 'When did we start offshoring our acting roles?' Australians are generally preferred by many producers and directors for a variety of reasons. Firslty their talent is not all Hollywood- they are in demand all over the world. We are lucky to have them. The obvious is that they can imitate a world of accents, growing up as they do on a diet of world productions (how many US kids get to see a rich variety of 'foreign' media, or any at all for that matter?). Also, in their tradition of isolation, they have developed an accute and highly funded arts program, making their acting schools perhaps the best in the world
When you need to lose weight2008-09-06 21:41:07 by daniellejlawr
Quickly - fruits are really particular. They are a good snack but since they have so much sugar in them, natural but still sugar, you can overeat fruits and consume more than you should. The only reason I know this is what i've learned from LAWeightloss. 1/2c. of 100% fruit juice is the equivalent to 1 piece of fruit (4oz. in weight). A lot of hollywood people do a strict protein & veggie diet - esp. those women who had babies. Protein & veggies helps you lose weight fast. Fruit is good when you need energy first thing in the morning and/or right before a workout.
