Too few calories in your diet2006-09-02 19:26:21 by 8-DK
Try entering your daily menu into a nutritional calculator like fitday or nutridiary and see how many calories you eat each day. If you eat too few calories, your body is going to rebel and it will drive you to eat foods that are not in the "healthy" category.
Based on your desired weight of 120 pounds and the level of exercise that you've described, you probably need to eat 1800 calories to maintain a 120 pound body.
If you eat a lot less calories that than, your body is going to have you cheat on some unhealthy foods.
The best foods to eat are whole fresh fruits and vegetables
Glycemic Impact Diet is basically2006-09-19 03:42:49 by smwalker
As far as I can tell just a regular diet of protein, carbs, and fats. Nothing weird, very standard meals. How ever in the fruit and vegetable department they favor foods that take longer for the body to digest. This is done for the reason that they do not want me getting hungry (if I am still digesting I guess you can't be hungry). I assume the food choices are based on the Glycemic Index and Glycemic load is factored into as well. I don't know enough about it to know for sure or how to figure the index out. I just follow what they tell be to eat, no complaints.
Here is there description of it:

Eating! It is simple and the rewards are great!
The weight will come off naturally.
Delete ANY enriched wheat breads, eat only Stoneground and/or whole wheat breads.
Stay away from the Deli.
Shop around the outside of the store and be careful when going down the aisles. Make a list and follow the list for your preplanned menu.
